How Long Can You Expect Our Wax to Last?

How Long Does Your Wax Last?

The duration of your wax melt can vary depending on several factors, making it difficult to provide a one-size-fits-all answer. Since no two people will be using the same wax burner in the exact same environment, the lifespan of your wax can differ significantly. However, after extensive testing, we’ve found some general guidelines that can help give you a better idea of how long our wax melts typically last.

For a tealight burner, we’ve determined that approximately 10 grams of wax will provide around 2-3 four hour tealights (8-12 hours) of fragrance. This can vary based on the type of tealight used, the size of the burner, and how frequently the wax is melted. The heat from the tea light will slowly melt the wax, releasing fragrance into the air. However, the scent throw will naturally decrease over time as the wax becomes more diluted.

When it comes to electric burners, the wax generally lasts longer—typically between 1 to 2 days with consistent use. Electric burners are more controlled, as they provide a steady, regulated heat source without the fluctuations that come with a tealight. This even heating means that the wax melts at a slower and more consistent rate, allowing it to release fragrance over a longer period of time.

However, the total duration can still depend on the wattage of the electric burner. We recommend using a 40-watt bulb to achieve the best scent throw and longevity. A lower wattage might not be enough to release the full fragrance potential, while a higher wattage could cause the wax to burn too quickly, shortening its lifespan.

Additional Factors to Consider:

  1. Room Size and Environment: Larger rooms or spaces with high ceilings may require more wax to fill the space with fragrance. Additionally, if the room has a lot of ventilation (such as drafts from windows or air vents), the scent may dissipate faster, reducing the perceived longevity of the wax.

  2. Wax Quality and Composition: Different waxes have different melting rates and fragrance retention capabilities. Our wax is designed to offer a long-lasting scent throw, but environmental factors and burner choices will still play a role in how long it lasts.

In conclusion, while 10 grams of wax typically lasts 2-3 four hour tealights (8-12 hours) in a tealight burner and 1 to 2 days in an electric burner, the exact lifespan will depend on how you’re using the product, the type of burner you have, and your environment. By experimenting with these factors, you can achieve the best scent experience and get the most out of your wax melts.
